Laudato Si Award

"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day. .."

(Genesis 1: 1-31)

This Spring, we decided to go for the 'Laudato Si Award' to recognise everything we do in school to help care for our common home. The following three sections show what we have done so far in working towards the award...

Love Generously

Live Wisely

Think Deeply

In the second half of the Spring Term, each class will concentrate on one of the following areas...

Each class has focused on an area they will 'think deeply' about and care for over the next year and into the future. It will be their area of responsibility and each class have displayed this area on their classroom door.

Class 1 are 'thinking deeply' about 'Nature in our School'.

Class 2 are thinking deeply about water use in school.

Class 3 are 'thinking deeply' about 'Food Waste in school'.

Class 4 are thinking deeply about energy use in school.

Class 5 are thinking deeply about recycling in school.
