9th May 2019 - We were delighted to welcome BBC News North West to St. Mary's today. Reporter Becky Barr came to interview staff and children and report on the eco-brick hut being delivered to our outdoor eco-classroom. This caused quite a stir with millions watching the broadcasts and over 50,000 people interacting with the BBC Facebook page. We have also appeared in the Daily Mirror, Lancashire Evening Telegraph, Accrington Observer and national newspapers are starting to get in touch to run a feature. This is just the exposure we wanted to give to the use of waste plastics and the damage they are doing to the environment.

2nd May 2019 - This morning we welcomed Bishop John Arnold to our school to open up our outdoor eco-classroom. It was a wonderful morning and the weather only just held out. Well done to the children and the whole community for getting us to this stage with the outdoor classroom - all part of our plans to push outdoor learning even further in the future..
