The children have been learning all about the Rainforest and in order to enrich their learning we invited ZOOLAB to visit school for the day to talk about some of the creatures found in the Rainforest.  The children really enjoyed the day especially when holding and stroking some of the creatures such as Millipede, Snake, Crab, Snail and Tarantula.

Year 3 and Year 4 children where invited by Hyndburn Borough Council to Wilson's Playing Fields (now known as Clayton Forest Park) to watch trees being felled using horses.  This is part of Hyndburn Borough Council's work to improve Clayton Forest Park.  There are very few horse loggers left in the country and Hyndburn Borough Council have employed the one which also work on the Royal Estate in Scotland.
